Self Portrait test shots
I’m not going to lie, I found this project to be rather challenging. Just like Rankin I despise having my photograph taken (even more so in a posed enviroment). I have a lot of ideas about what direction I want to go with my self portrait though and I found it quite amusing when during our last class my drawn portrait was said to have an evil element about it, so I will be using that as my theme. How far I plan to take it is a bit dependent on how my next few test shots turn out. I deliberately tried to be quite simplistic with the lighting setup for this test shot as I needed a very hard controlled light at the correct angle to create the look I had in mind. I’m quite pleased with the result so far.
